Even though Monument is still a young festival, it has already become a tradition that we invite a record label dear to our hearts to do an opening ceremony on the first day of the gathering. Respectively in 2019 and 2021, we entrusted Hypnus Records and Northern Electronics to set the tone for our three-day journey into sound. This year we forget about the boundaries, relieved and happy to be able to invite a kindred spirit from far beyond the Scandinavian region: Karim, who founded Tikita in 2014.
The Moroccan label stands for organic, elegant music infused with acoustic rhythms and drums – always striking the right balance between primal sounds and avant-garde electronic music. To properly represent this unique identity, we have selected some of its most faithful actors: Dorisburg & Efraim Kent, and natural/electronic.system.
